Proximal Humerus Fractures : The combination of the self-tapping titanium 3.5 mm Cortical screw with the 3.5 mm Proximal Humerus Plate is commonly used for the fixation of proximal humerus fractures. These fractures may include various types, such as displaced fractures, two-part fractures, three-part fractures, and four-part fractures.
Osteotomies : The system is also utilized for osteotomies of the proximal humerus. Osteotomies involve intentionally cutting and repositioning bone to correct deformities, such as malunions or non-unions, and the self-tapping Cortical screw provides secure fixation during the healing process.
Revision Surgeries : The self-tapping titanium 3.5 mm Cortical screw and the Proximal Humerus Plate can be used in revision surgeries for failed previous fixation attempts or cases of implant failure. The system allows for secure fixation and stability, even in challenging cases where bone quality or fracture patterns may pose difficulties.

Plate-Only Fixation : In certain cases where the fracture pattern and bone quality allow, the self-tapping titanium 3.5 mm Cortical screw may be used in conjunction with the 3.5 mm Proximal Humerus Plate for plate-only fixation. This technique provides stability and support for the fractured bone segments without the need for additional screws or other fixation methods.
Nonunion or Delayed Union Cases : In instances of nonunion or delayed union of proximal humerus fractures, the self-tapping titanium 3.5 mm Cortical screw, in combination with the Proximal Humerus Plate, can be used to achieve rigid fixation and promote bone healing. The system provides compression at the fracture site, facilitating the union of bone fragments.

Size and Length : The Self-Tapping Titanium 3.5 mm Cortical Screw is available in various lengths, ranging from 12 mm to 60 mm. This range allows surgeons to choose the appropriate screw length based on patient anatomy and fracture pattern specific to the proximal humerus.
Thread Design : The screw has a self-tapping, cortical thread design. This feature allows for efficient insertion into the dense cortical bone of the proximal humerus, facilitating secure fixation without the need for pre-drilling.
